Due to changes beyond my control, Kyle's Featured Store will no longer be presented on Saturday mornings. Also, the Kyle's Coffee and More link has been removed from this blog and from my website. The company that provided the shopping site that gave my customers cash back when they made purchases is no longer offering this service. I apologize for any problems this may cause.
The same company does offer other possibilities, so check back for a new Kyle's Coffee and More link, or possibly Kyle's Coffee, in the future, as I may be able to sell the coffee I love so much on my own website. If so, the announcement will be made here, and links will be added where appropriate. The company behind this store asked for an unreasonable fee to keep it going, then completely vanished from the internet, and even its parent seems to be gone. Had I given them the money they wanted, I would have been screwed out of hundreds of dollars, and I seriously doubt that any customer actually received cash back from Kyle's Coffee and More.
Over the last couple of weeks, my preferred hosting provider was plagued with many problems that were beyond the control of the administrators. Their main server mass suspended every account and then went offline completely. Then they brought another server online, but the nameservers never worked and there were a host (pun intended) of CPanel issues. However, on Monday, an entirely new server was brought online, and it’s working perfectly, and is faster than ever. I had switched over to another p2h (post to host) provider as a stopgap measure until HostMafia came back online, but the alternate provider had its own problems, including the fact that although my account was allowed unlimited addon domains, CPanel gave me an error on my first addon domain, saying that I was not allowed more than 0 addon domains. A support ticket has produced no results to this day, and the forum posting rules disallow bumping my ticket or even requesting that someone look at it in their live support chat room
Well, I have to say that with all the problems that both hosts were having, it came down to a race to get my websites up and running with the first one that worked, and HostMafia came through again. In spite of the problems they have had, which I do believe were beyond their control, I feel I have found the best hosting provider for my needs, and I do not hesitate to recommend HostMafia to anyone looking to get one or more websites up and running, and who doesn’t mind paying for their hosting package by contributing to a vibrant and friendly community.
At the time I write this, the hosting packages are still not online. However, they are expected to be available again within the next two days. Thank you HostMafia for not giving up in the face of all the recent server problems, and for continuing to provide web hosting services to the community. You get the Kyle seal of approval. :)
I discovered this song a couple of weeks ago when I sang it at church. Before I heard it, I was told it was classified as "Southern Gospel, and wasn't sure I could do it justice, since I Rarely sing in that genre. But then I heard it, and I fell completely in love with it. Now, for your listening pleasure, I sing "Through the Fire." Enjoy, share and be blessed.
I'd like to give a shoutout to Amazon mp3 for making this Ultimate Tracks backing track available for purchase. Thank you.
T-mobile has just changed our plans. Now we can even send and receive real email from these old phones, and my wife can make unlimited calls to landline phones and texts to cell phones in 50 countries, and all this for about $3 more than we paid last month. These guys really rock!
All my websites have been down since early yesterday afternoon. Ironically, I have just been thinking over the last couple of days how cool it would be to take my blog to the next level, (open source), and host it in the same place where my other sites are currently hosted. Down time is unavoidable, I guess, but 20 hours? This really hurts!
